Well, this is what Anna Delia De Itturrondo thinks anyhow. Well I like her motto and I am gonna steal it only change it to "Weights + Cardio + IF = HOTTIE!!"
Anyhow, I was checking out her bio on cutandjacked.com and saw that she noticed the biggest changes in her body when she started incorporating both cardio and weight training in her diet. I've been doing Intermittent Fasting, Lean Gains style, for 5 months and while I have lost 15 lbs, I have yo-yoed with every new increment of 5 lbs that I lose. So I was stuck between 185-180 for 2 months and then in the beginning of January, I hit 178 and now for the past 3 weeks I have been stuck between 178-180. I've read articles on how cardio isn't necessary but can help speed up weight loss and then I have seen youtube videos or witnessed transformations on bodybuilding.com in which people that got to their goal weight, just went nuts on the cardio.
I went to bed toying with the idea of becoming a personal trainer and then today I woke up making up my mind that I feel I am destined to be one. I am extremely passionate about weight lifting now and I talk non-stop about eating right. (Thank goodness my boyfriend is supportive and doesn't mind hearing me ramble on about it.) I've been as heavy as 280 lbs and the lightest I have been as an adult was 171; which lasted only 3 months until I got pregnant with my son back in 2001. I've been overweight all my life and have struggled to just get to my pre-pregnancy weight for the past 9 years. I have only made the most significant changes since March of 2011 when I educated myself about nutrition and started lifting heavy weights. No more pink dumbbells for this girl. And no; it is not possible to become manly looking with veins popping out of my neck and biceps. Women do not have the same hormones as men so it's not possible to get tricked out like that. The women you see with a lot of muscle mass that look like men are having help through the use of anabolic steroids. Don't worry, that's not my intention. I just want to get to about 20% bodyfat and be lean and sexy but still have womanly curves. My boyfriend thinks women need to have curves because that's what makes us women and extremely sexy. And since I am rather fond of this man and I respect his opinion, I agree!
For the next 3 months (90 days) I am going to be busting my butt! Since I need to get more cardio introduced into my current workout workout routine and I find most cardio machines (especially the treadmill to be a bore) I have decided to dust off my P90X videos and do the Lean version only with the addition of keeping my current weight training sessions and the days in which I am to rest from training, I will still be doing cardio those days. The lean version for P90X features 4 days of cardio and only 2 days of resistance training, so the 2 days that P90x has resistance training, I am going to swap in doing a session of spinning at the gym. Are you totally confused yet? Check out my plan below.
New Training and Cardio routine:
Day 1: Core Synergistics + Upper body split
Day 2: Cardio X, Ab ripper X + Lower body split
Day 3: rest day + 45 min of spinning and
Day 4: Yoga X + upper body split
Day 5: Legs + 30 min HIIT on the elliptical plus Ab ripper X
Day 6: Kenpo X
And now, because I have such faith that this is going to blast my belly fat, I am willing to show my belly photos taken today compared to when I begin IF in September 2011.

If you would like some more advice, check out my blog somebodylied.com, which focuses on the lean hollywood look. Intermittent fasting works extremely well. I also add in one or two eat stop eat style fasts and maximise my workouts instead of wasting time doing unnecessary things. Good luck with everything
