I've been following Bethenny Frankel's book, Naturally Thin: Unleash Your SkinnyGirl and Free Yourself from a Lifetime of Dieting for about 2 weeks now. I have lost 6 pounds in 2 weeks. I was 205 when I started it and now weigh 199.4.
Following her suggested way of eating works for me. I ate out 3 times this week and still managed to lose weight. I eat tasty food that satisfies me and I eat nutritious food that fuels my body so that I do not feel tired.
Take a look at last night's dinner at California Pizza Kitchen.
My sister and I had decided we would split a salad and a pizza. I ate 2 small dinner plate servings of this awesome Caesar salad with grilled shrimp. Believe it or not the full plate of this salad was only 648 calories and was much lower than the other choices of salads on the menu. My sister, nephew and I split a tomato and basil pizza and I only ate one slice and left 2 bites of the crust.
I am a total carb-a-holic but for the first time in my life, I was not tempted by the before dinner sourdough bread and butter that was sitting infront of me. I did not eat one slice of that bread even though the waitress kindly brought us 2 plates full throughout the meal. Victory!
We then went to see the move The Back-Up Plan and we really wanted some popcorn so we bought a medium bag of popcorn to share with no butter and only manged to eat half of it.
I actually didn't eat all that great but following Bethenny's suggestions helps me eat less. I now listen to what I am really wanting to eat so that I do not binge later.
This is actually what I ate yesterday. Although it was far from perfect or even following her plan to the "T", I still managed to wake up a pound lighter.
Breakfast:
1 Macadamia and white chocolate chip cookie (I decided to eat this because there were only 3 left and I knew if I didn't eat it then, they would be gone come dinner time)
Lunch: My leftover nachos from the night before's date (it was a small plate of them and I had only ate 1/3 of them on the date)
Afternoon snack: 5 squares of dark chocolate with almonds
Dinner: 2 small dinner plates of Caeser Salad with grilled shrimp and 1 small slice of tomato and basil pizza (I scraped off all the tomatoes because they looked canned and not fresh)
Evening snack: about 3 cups of movie theater popcorn with no butter

Hi Sarasayshi. I’ve had great success with the raw food diet, which is eating raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds (a plant based diet). Cutting out breads etc. really helps. I’ve lost 25 lbs and been able to get off my diabetes medicine. Enjoy your weekend!
