3 Months Hiatus And My End To Dieting With Naturally Thin Eating

by sarasayshi on April 17, 2010

I know I have been missing for 3 months. Its not that I totally fell off the wagon or anything and was afraid to show my face, its just that honestly I have been so busy with working on hitting some online goals. I have been working on my business 7 days a week and about 14 hours a day. not much time left for making and uploading videos or even to post in this blog.

I did not totally stick to my eating plan. Previously I mentioned the flat belly diet and although I would say I was preparing 90% of my meals from the pocket guide, I was not watching my portions or my snacking habits. A handful of nuts here and a handful of seeds there would still lead me to over eating.

I have also been working out pretty consistently while on hiatus. In fact there were only 2 weeks I missed in the last 3 months, otherwise I continued to workout a minimum of 3 days a week but more than often I was doing 4-5 days a week.

The final result of all of this is that I had bounced back and forth between weighing 195 and 200 pounds. However; Easter weekend caused me to push past 200 lbs and I came home weighing 205.8 lbs. When I returned from my parents I was totally motivated to follow the flat belly diet eating plan again. I went shopping for groceries and spent a whopping $150 to stock up on my nuts, seeds and whole wheat items. I lost a pound in 4 days. Kinda slow progress.

Last weekend, my sister mentioned how she had picked up Bethenny Frankel's book Naturally Thin: Unleash Your SkinnyGirl and Free Yourself from a Lifetime of Dieting. To be honest I was not interested in reading the book at all. I love Bethenny, don't get me wrong. I am a hardcore Real Housewives TV show fan and Bethenny is my absolute favorite out of all the women on the NY series. I just assumed her book was going to be packed with the same BS I have read a million times in my Shape magazines or other dieting books. Bethenny's book opened my eyes to how to lose weight by not dieting.

I have already dropped 4 lbs my first week of following her program. I am so thankful that my sister got this book for me to read. I am not hungry and I feel good!

You should be proud of the progress you’re making, and the courage you’re showing!

I can really empathize with you as I also run a website and also find it hard to keep up with my own exercise and diet goals. I now find it useful to do a lunchtime workout. I feel refreshed again for the afternoon and feel I am more productive even though I lose an hour.
